Jessie

Well ~ we did it. We have a new member of the family. Jessie is a 7 week old chocolate Lab. (Jacob named her after Jessie in Toy Story 2.) I am not sure what has gotten into me...I already have two kids. But, what's one more. (and she can't talk back...well, she hasn't yet at least.)

Jacob absolutely adores her. She came over to visit Saturday evening...we wanted to see how she acted in a new environment. We were going to take her back to the sellers for the night and Jacob said, "But, I love her." That was it. Jessie immediately was then our dog. We were in Walmart at midnight getting a puppy crate and toys. Emma is warming up to the idea, as well as our cat Tasha. Jessie likes to play bite and Emma doesn't quite like that. When Emma is running, Jessie chases after her like she's a toy.

I better go check now to make sure Jessie is chewing on her toys and not the wall. I will try not to bore you with too many dog pictures in the future.

P.S. Thank you Caki for staying with the kids while we searched for a puppy this weekend. We couldn't have done it without you. Little did we know, we'd end up picking the first one we liked. :)
