Emma's birthday fell on Easter Day this year. She is now officially 3 years old! She likes to hold up three fingers and say, "I am 5 or 6"...that's definitely what she thinks she is sometimes.
I love the above picture of Emma...portrays her normal, happy, loving side. She is so enthusiastic about everything. One Sunday I picked her up from Sunday School and her teacher told me that she was a joy to have...she seems like she would get along with anyone. (Except her brother and cousin occasionally .) Another one of her church teachers told me that she loves to answer all the questions during storytime.
Emma's favorite thing to do is play dress-up. She loves to pretend to be a princess. She even likes to "kiss like the prince." She will turn her head sideways and open her mouth and tell me to "kiss like we are married." I can tell you that she did not learn this from David and me. It was one of her princess movies. I have yet to figure out which princess kisses like that, Ariel or Cinderella. :)
Emma loves animals. That's why I decided to get the bunnies for her party...I knew she would enjoy petting them and holding Blossom and Flower. Anytime we are out in the front yard, Emma stops every single dog that is walked by our house. She asks very politely, "What's his name?" and "Can I pet him please?" Nobody can turn down those adorable dimples...
Well, I love the above picture too. This portrays Emma's devious side. She is very strong- willed...much more than her brother. She can also hold her own when playing tackle with Jacob. Emma can almost always out-run him. I think that we will try out gymnastics this summer. She is very coordinated and loves to run/jump/and balance.Emma started going to mother's-day-out twice a week back in February. It took a while for her to get adjusted...but she loves it now. She talks about her friends and teachers all the time. I think her favorite is music and art. She comes home home singing the songs that Ms. Brandi taught her. (also likes to pretend to be her teachers.)
Emma brings so much joy to our lives. We love you Emma Grace. Happy 3rd Brithday pumpkin.
