Independence Day

We spent July 4th in Pearland. This is a mix of different things we did. It rained practically the whole time we were there. So, the kids enjoyed swimming in the rain and riding their bikes in the flooded street. (Shortly after this picture was taken Jacob fell and scraped his knees. By the way he screamed, you would have thought his leg had been cut off.)

We also celebrated my Dad's 60th birthday by going to Kemah. The rain held off at least for that! Oh- and we did get to enjoy the fireworks with the mosquitos. :)

I had to add this picture of my Papa. He is 85 years old and still rides a bike really well!!

Rain, Rain Go Away! We were supposed to go swimming today and once again the rain is coming. I guess I should have listened to Jacob as he told me yesterday, "Mom today is a really good day to go swimming. There's no clouds and it's really hot!" Oh well.

Oh my stars, I have so much to say! You're dad is 60? Jacob looks JUST like you all the sudden (with blond hair), Emma's hair just sprouted and grew all the sudden, You're dad is 60? I don't know why that seems so old, I'm sure my mom is right behind him. I guess b/c I remember my grandmother's 65 bday like it was YESTERDAY and she's always seemed old to me??? Maybe???
