Ray Roberts Camp-out

We have been saying for several weeks that we need to go camping. So, we decided last minute to go for it! We had beautiful weather, a great campground, lots of dirt, and tons of fun!

David took the kids on a bike ride while I hung out with Sarah for a morning nap. Toward the end of their ride, they came upon a culvert. Jacob looked down and said, "Man, Dad, I sure would hate to fall down there." David reached to get his trail map and looked up and there went Jacob...down in the culvert!!! He thankfully went down the slanted side and not over the shear drop-off. Jacob said that his bike just went down there all by itself! He was fine...just a few tears and skaken nerves.

We ended the day with some dear friends we met when we first moved to Dallas. They have four boys! Jacob and Emma loved having them come. There was playground fun, rock throwing, hot dogs, and smores. We can't wait to do it again! Whew- I am tired though!

Looks like lots of fun. Y'all are very brave to have tackled that! That last picture of Emma is priceless- just beautiful- I'm afraid to ask what that was in her hand :-)
Glad to hear Jacob survived the fall without too much damage- very scary!!
