Dallas Zoo

Becca and I decided to go to the Dallas Zoo on Friday. It was quite an adventure. We took the Dallas Dart from Plano. Once we parked and walked a 1/2 mile to the train we realized that you had to have cash. Bec and I scrounged for change and a lady lent us $1, so off we went. Jacob loved the dart. It was a long ride though ~ one hour at least. (30 min car drive)

Once we were there the kids had fun looking at all the animals. It was getting pretty warm towards the end so we headed back to the dart. Then, Jacob had to go #2...so we headed back to the zoo and went potty. Therefore, we missed the first train. 20 minutes later the next train comes and we go up the ramp with 3 kids and 2 strollers. The stinkin' train left us!! The driver looked at us and seemed put off that he would have to put down the ramp. We waited another 20 minutes and the kids are already 2 hours past nap time. They were really all doing pretty good though- considering.

Finally, the train came and we got onboard for the hour trip back to our car. What a long day! It was worth it though for Julianne, Emma, and Jacob. (However, the next trip will be by car!!)
