Saturday we packed up and drove to Lake Texoma. We went with the Schnitkers, Whiteheads, and Elliotts. We all got to know each other from bible study, 4 years ago when we moved to Mckinney. Between all of us, there were 11 kids! Emma was the only girl. She didn't seem to mind though.
The kids swam in the lake, threw rocks, got bit by fire ants, made mud pie, ate s'mores, and threw some more rocks. It was a fun time!!
Jacob and Emma got to sleep in their own room at the cabin. They thought that was pretty neat...and it was Emma's first time in a "real" bed!
I hope we can do it again next year! Here's the happy clan:

WOW, does that bring back memories! remember all the kids at leakey when we were little? how fun. we are going to gatlinburg on oct 7-10. we wish that you guys could go with us. hope your parents (both sets) are ok through the hurricane. mom, allen, stephen, and hopper left for leakey tonight. my prayers are with everyone. love, carrie, scott, and james
