When I picked Jacob up today, his teacher said that he had done something really funny. The children in his class were playing - kind of in a transition time. He had taken his Incredibles book for show and tell today. So, he got his book, and told all the children to sit down in their seats because he was going to read a book to them.
Crazily - they all sat down to listen! Since his teacher found out he is reading, he has been taking a book to read to her every Tuesday. There have been a few times though he has read to the entire class...maybe the "shy" days are over? :) He does love to pretend play and act like a teacher...I have noticed this a lot at home.
He also had a blast with his "best friend" Dillon today. He came home with us after school. They have been playing together since they were babies...today's highlights were Mr. Darth Tater and swinging outside. (or maybe torturing Jessie outside?) Dillon's brother, Colby, had his 5th open heart surgery last week and is already home doing well. Wow - talk about being
thankful. We love you Colby and are so thankful you are home. We can't wait to play with you. :)

It's just Darth Tater...not "MR. Darth Tater"...geez!
Who the heck is Darth Tater?
I've heard of a bull rider named Tater! Mater of fact I think it was even discussed in naming Jacob, Tater.
Jacob Tater, that has a nice ring.
But his initials wouldn't go well in elementary school circles.
Is nice thou that he reads to his friends. I like that.
Ahhh... how sweet. What a surprise to see Dillon's picture when I checked your blog! :) Thanks again for taking care of Dillon for us that day. Since we ended up being at the hospital with Colby that day, it was a HUGE help! I'm so glad the boys played so well together! Who knows, maybe we'll be in-laws someday if Emma and Dillon hook up!!! :) OMG!!!! Just think of our grandchildren!!! :)
