Jacob had his 1st Basketball game this past Saturday. I think that he was pretty nervous about it. But, once he got in there and played, he had fun. In fact, he told me yesterday that he can't wait until the next game. The Upward program is great. They make sure that each player is teamed up with another child with the same ability level. Each week, all the kids get star patches. They receive stars for memorizing their bible verse. Jacob also got stars for best defense and most Christlike the 1st game! (He was guarding his man very well!) Go Jacob! We are very proud of you.

Okay that was cheesy, but really, y'all are a dern cute family!
We have Upward here too and can I just say we will NOT be participating in that league? I mean, I know my husband is a pastor and all and I should be in favor of Upward, but something about praying and memorizing verses before going on the field, oh and NOT keeping score??? I want COMPETITION! I'm in this to WIN! Life is all about winners and losers. I want my girls to go out on the field and crush their opponants, not quote scripture to them and be "Christlike". Is it just me?
(I'm sort of kidding. Sort of.)
